The Recovery Support Project (RSP) provides recovery support that helps prevent relapse and promote sustained recovery from alcohol and drug use. RSP empowers the individual in their personal journey towards recovery through mentoring and support. RSP will connect participants with professional and nonprofessional services and resources that can help meet their needs on the road to recovery. The RSP recovery specialist can refer participants to safe housing, or to sources of information about housing, as well as to a wide variety of resources and services that provide assistance in developing job readiness or finding jobs. The recovery specialist may also develop linkages to specialized services related to mental health disorders, chronic and acute health problems, and problems stemming from involvement with the criminal justice system. The key goal is to enhance the quality of life for individuals in recovery.
